Dr. Karen Bonnanzio is a graduate of the University of Connecticut and the New England College of Optometry. A native of Waterbury, she is honored to have served the community for the past 29 years.

he joined Dr. Tichy’s Stratford practice in 2016; the duo went on to open their Waterbury location in 2017. Recently, the Oronoque family expanded to Derby, bringing Dr. DeLeon into the practice as a partner.
Dr. Bonnanzio practices at the highest level of optometry- giving her patients of all ages the best possible care with the latest technology available. She always takes the time to get to know each patient as an individual, tailoring her time to address each person’s concerns and needs. She has the experience and knowledge to diagnose and treat eye diseases with confidence and care.
Dr. Bonnanzio resides in Middlebury with her husband, welcoming her grown children back as often as they can visit. In her free time, Dr. Bonnanzio enjoys all things outdoors, cooking and traveling.
